The Supportkids/RJB Conspiracy

As many of you have read, Supportkids sold out to RJB because of a bad loan. It left many parents scrabbling to try and save the child support they were getting. We received a farewell letter from Supportkids, and a welcome letter from RJB. When most of us attempted to contact RJB, we were unsuccessful. Voice mails were left as well as e-mails, and they all went unanswered. The moment I found out about the transaction, I notified my DA's office in California and sent a termination letter via certified mail to RJB. My blog was used by struggling custodial parents to communicate back and forth about their experience. At the time of the transfer, RJB was not licensed to collect child support. I think many parents ended up falling thru the cracks. They were left bewildered and exasperated by the whole experience. No one was getting any explanation from either company as to what actually happened.

Id like to know the status of the parents that were having issues with their state offices. Has anything been resolved? One mother had money collected and directly deposited into an account but no one could answer for the whereabouts of the funds nor which account they were deposited into. I'm praying that the issue was resolved and her funds were found. I have continued to get my child support directly from the DA and I know some others were successful too. This needs to be the case for all parents that signed up for Supportkids.

Does anyone have any new information to share for the thousands of parents still suffering at the hands of the Supportkids/RJB conspiracy?

been a while since I commented last. I finally did get the 4 missing checks from SK, not RJB. Our BBB complaints to SK were basically ignored by SK. They sent the same form letter each time we rejected their response. The letter said "We're no longer servicing their cases, please have them contact RJBA" RJBA told us this was an SK issue...blah blah blah. TX dept of banking helped to get the reissue on the missing checks for me.

Last time I spoke to RJBA was in June with Stephanie Parker. She said she didn't see an issue with closing my case since I had gone 17 months without any work or payment done by SK but I have yet to hear back from them telling me this is the truth in writing. I tried to call yesterday and sat on hold for 48 minutes the first time and hung up. 2nd time I called I sat on hold for about 10 minutes and it went to voicemail. I'm pretty sure they have caller ID and a note listed when I call to not answer my phone number LOL.

My ex sent in a whopping 40 bucks to Indy but I have yet to get that now because they are sending it to a former maiden name from 8 years ago. I have since lost my marriage cert and can't get it changed so I am trying to get the post office to deliver it to me anyway. We will see. I'm still in the process of getting Indy to close it out and transfer it to Texas. That is a very slow process. Indy does not seem to know what the hell they are doing! I will be in Indy next week so I'm going to go down to the office and sign whatever paperwork I have to and bring it to Texas with me when I come back. Hopefully then my nightmare will be over!

You're right...that sounds like a big nightmare. That God they found your checks. With all the crap we have to deal with on a daily basis, why are these companies aloud to do business?? Keep me posted!

I have received two paper checks from RJB since Sk dumped us. I have no idea if there are more checks or not. I sent in the paperwork for direct depost but have never had anything DD to my account. I am worried now since reading so many bad things about this company. I hope it all gets better.

I am worried for you too. Did you read some of the other posts in my blog? I havent come across anyone that has signed so let us know how they treat you. I wish you tons of luck. I think once you have signed the contract, like SK, you cant get out. Keep us posted.

Still no change here. I did receive a letter from the Indy Child Support Office telling me they are washing their hands of my case since I elected to have SK handle it (come on Indy that was almost a year ago and you are just figuring it out). I have tried numerous times to get through to RJB but keep getting the run around. My ex has also decided to stop making child support payments for 3 months now. I guess it could be a good thing if I stick it out for 9 more months then my contract would be void.

It shouldnt be that way. What a bunch of BS. Watch, just like SK, they will wait until the 5th hour and actually do something to get cash in THEIR pocket. Dont give up. I went 8 years without child support. I can be done it just sucks! Hopefully, they will be out of business by then.

We got one check from RJB minus the commission even though they were a) unlicensed to collect and b) had gotten a termination letter.

Since our case is handled through a court, I called the county clerk and had the address changed. After that I have received my checks directly from the court.

Incidentally, my attorney wrote them a letter notifying them that they were fired and not authorized to work on my behalf since we never had a contract. He demanded the paperwork and an accounting of the funds. So far, nothing.

As far as I'm concerned RJB is out of the loop.

I am sorry to report my sorrows about this transition as well. I found about the change when I called the SK hotline. Dealing with RJBA has been a nightmare. After reading of others experiences & my own dealings, I decided to rid myself of them. I called every 2 weeks for 10 weeks requesting a copy of my contract. I informed them where the NCP was living & working, which i learned through a show cause hearing(how the HELL does the wayne county friend of the court find him before them?? I have paid a lot of money already to them, what exactly is it that they do??). Two seperate promises to send me my contract via email went unfulfilled. I spoke with a supposed manager Steve with a promise of my contract in seven days and a personal phone call to discuss my case with him, obviously that was unfulfilled as well. I called once again to request to speak to someone above Steve, I was put on hold for 30 minutes then hung up on w/out a call back. Thats when I finally had enough. I sent a cease&desist letter via certified mail as suggested by another blogger. Now I have to obtain forms from the FOC to prevent them from having access to my case and prevent them from receiving any money paid by the NCP. If anyone out there knows the MI wayne county FOC then they know the hard time i'm having with this. I feel trapped. I dont want them to do nothing and get paid when money starts coming in. I feel i am being scammed & there's nothing I can do. I almost want to give up.

well no surprise here. Just got back from vacation and no closure letter. I'm on hold with them now to try to find out why they haven't sent me a letter. I will let you all know what happens with this.
