Wordless Wednesday

Photobucket

This is a sand storm where my son is stationed in Iraq. He had to breathe this for 3 days. When the visibility gets this bad, they are on high alert because they cant see anything. I couldnt imagine.

Oh my word... I can't even imagine. Must be so horrible to breathe in!

That's pretty harsh on the lungs and all. With a mask, I'm not even sure it's helpful or not. :(

That must be terrible. It's hard to imagine what that would be like.

Just one more reason for us to thank our service men and women, right?!?! Tell him I said, THANKS for enduring the sand storms (among all other things).

I don't have to imagine. I did two cycles of desert training at Ft. Irwin, CA and we had the same thing happen out there once or twice. It was so bad the guy driving the 5-ton articulated forklift couldn't find it.

Until he literally walked into the side of it that is.

I Imagine the sand isn't even the worst of it :( Hope he stays safe. Thanks for the reminder. It's so easier to focus on our problems and forget about those of others.
Happy WW

That does look quite intense. I've been in some pretty nasty dust/sand storms (e.g., at Burning Man), but this sand looks very thick and heavy.

I hope you son stays safe!

Oh my goodness!
That's hard. But I like how he takes it and making fun of it by writing in the dust on the screen...
My brother in law is in Afghanistan, that's similar over there.

Happy late WW/Thursday!
