With a son-in-law in Iraq and a son who served in Afghanistan, Kathy Johnston says she wants to make sure her five grandchildren know that it's important to support U.S. troops, no matter how they feel about the war.

I'm pretty outspoken in my opposition to the war in Iraq. I'm also pretty outspoken in my advocacy for supporting our troops. I'm praying for a safe return for Kathy's son-in-law and applaud her efforts to make sure that everyone knows how important it is to support our troops.

(P.S. I see the Connecticut flag on the podium. Where was the photo taken?)

I completely agree. No matter how anyone feels about the war or our president, it is important to support our troops.

God bless our troops and their families.

Good for her. Our troops do need our prayers and our support as they are the ones that are making the sacrifice.

No matter your position the troops need the support!

I am glad that so many people are supporting the troops. I just wish more people understood that the goverment cannot tell us everything because it would let the enemy know things, too. We have to trust what is going on and that we don't know things that people need security clearances for. The war is not run by the President alone, there are many men advising it, and they are not all "corrupt" or greedy.
I don't like the war, but I have faith.
