TT #20

13 things you can do with Peroxide:

1. No more canker sores & your teeth will be whiter. Take 1 cap full & hold in your mouth for 10 minutes daily, then spit it out. It will make your teeth whiter without expensive pastes. Use it instead of mouthwash.

2. Let your toothbrushes soak in a cup of "Peroxide" to keep them free of germs.

3. Clean your counters and table-tops with peroxide to kill germs and leave a fresh smell; Simply put a little on your dishrag when you wipe, or spray it on the counters.

4. Kill salmonella and other bacteria. After rinsing off your wooden cutting board, pour peroxide on it.
5. Get rid of fungus. Spray a 50/50 mixture of peroxide and water on them, especially the toes, every night and let dry to get rid of fungus. .

6. Soak any infections or cuts in 3% peroxide for 5 to 10 minutes several times a day and it will speed the healing.

7. Disinfectant. Fill a spray bottle with a 50/50 mixture of peroxide and water; keep it in every bathroom to use like bleach or most other disinfectants.

8. Plugged sinuses. Tilt your head back & spray into nostrils with your 50/50 mixture whenever you have a cold, or stuffy nose. It will bubble and help to kill the bacteria. Hold for a few minutes, then blow your nose into a tissue.

9. Terrible toothache. If you cannot get to a dentist right away, put a cap full of 3% peroxide into your mouth and hold it for 10 minutes several times a day. The pain will lessen greatly.

10. More natural highlights. If you like a natural look to your HAIR, spray the 50/50 solution on your wet hair after a shower and comb it through. You will not have the 'peroxide burnt blonde hair' like the hair dye packages. If your hair is a light brown, reddish, or dirty blonde, it lightens gradually, so it's not a drastic change.

11. Eliminate boils, fungus, or other skin infections. Put half a bottle of peroxide in your bath to help prevent against any of the above.

12
. Peroxide instead of bleach - You can add a cup of peroxide to a load of whites in your laundry to whiten them instead of bleach. If there is blood on clothing, pour directly on the soiled spot. Let it sit for a minute, then RUB & RINSE IN COLD WATER. Repeat if necessary.

13. Clean mirrors. Use peroxide to clean your mirrors with NO SMEARING!

And here I only grab my peroxide when I'm too wussy to deal with the sting from alcohol! I had no idea it was so useful (and it's so cheap, too). Thanks.

I would never have dreamed of actually putting peroxide up my nose....sounds as if it might sting a bit.

But this is a great set of hints; thanks!

I love this list because I have a huge bottel of peroxide in the medicine cabinet at all times...I use it like cray...for wounds first aid and cleaning...and after flossing I always swish it around...

Good list obviously we have natural inexpensive products in common...I don't like commercial cleaning products like Fantastic...I start coughing..

Hey have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by my blog, I'm off to catch up on your pics etc...

These are awesome tips. I always use it for cuts, but I never thought about using for some of these others. I'll have to try them out.

Interesting list. I use baking soda for whitening teeth. I keep a small container and the kids are used to dipping their toothbrush in it. For many of your cleaning suggestions I use vinegar and water.

I'll certainly keep the peroxide uses in mind. Thanks for educating me.

Great list! I've heard of a lot of these before, but haven't actually tried many other than using it for hair highlights.

Thanks for visiting my TT.

Great post! I use peroxide on my bloody clothes, between my 3yo having chronic bloody noses and two of us getting our monthly cycles, this is a must know tip! I learned it from my mom.

Interesting. I've never heard about 12 of these uses. I'll bookmark this for later reference.

Happy TT. :) Mine is up here.

ya know that amazing product "OXY-CLEAN" ?
Guess what the secret ingredient is that makes it work so well......

Be careful what strength it is though. I had a friend who had access to some industrial stength peroxide that was great at cleaning pans but you wouldn't want it near your flesh or teeth...

Wow... great tips. I'm gonna have to remember those.

I knew about using peroxide for blood on clothes and for gargling with, but I didn't know all the other uses. Very informational TT. Happy Thursday.

This is pretty cool. I'll have to try the gargle/whiten teeth thing.

Sometimes the simplest thing is best. Like aspirin, a thousand and one uses.

I knew about the teeth, do it as it is. But for everything else...WOW. Thanks a bunch.

Happy TTing!

Ten minutes?

I'm not sure I could handle holding it in my mouth for ten minutes but it's an interesting list. I may try some of them.
