13 things about Mothers.

1. We are the only ones willing to kiss a dirty boo-boo and make it feel better.

2. When our babies are sick, we nurse them back to health.

3. We help with homework even when we dont understand.

4. We can mend broken hearts with a kiss and a hug (under the age of 10 anyway).

5. We know how to make our childrens favorite meal to a "T".

6. We can recite the time, pound, ounce, and day of the week that each of our children were born without blinking an eye.

7. If we had it to do over again, we would.

8. Our love is unconditional.

9. We attend every school program and sporting event with pride.

10. We do things for our children even when we are tired.

11. We forgive, forgive, and forgive, especially those of us with teenagers.

12. We can bring home the bacon and fry it up in a pan (yep, Ive used this before but it fits).

13. We are magicians as we make piles of dirty clothes on the floor turn into clean folded laundry in a drawer.

No. 3 has left my daughter looking at me funny many an afternoon! How we try. Great post, Lori.

Ah, No. 3.... They start 'em early, too. Ms. Five is just finishing up with kindergarten, so things are still within the realm of Mommy-actually-knows-this... not for long, though...

Happy TT!

Hurray that you are this kind of mother. That's just really wonderful. And a single parent at that. You're boys are very lucky.

That's oh so true! You just described my life (at least the ones pertaining to young kids) to a T.

As a Dad of 7 kids, can't argue with any of those.

I'm not sure about 'doing it all over again'....the pain, the pain!!!

My 13 is a gross group of funny advertisements I made up for fun, and using this week's 'gross' theme for T-13. Hope you can stop by.

I so can relate. And indeed we are magicians!

And unlike most dads, we know our kids' shoe sizes and teachers' names! Great list!

I'm good with all but #6. I have seven children, which means seven labor and deliveries and I can't for the life of me remember exactly what day, time, pound, ounce or whatever for all of them (it's written down somewhere, but I can't find it).
It's more vague than that, "You were born somewhere in the late morning hours and you were born in the tub sucking your thumb. What day was it? I dunno, but it wasn't the weekend. I remember that." :-)

*shakes my magic wand*

Huh.
The clothes magically get clean and folded, but they don't seem to be making it into the drawers.

Lovely list ... offered in a timely manner on this Thursday before Mother's Day. Hope YOURS is delightful on Sunday!

Mine's up at Small Reflections ... later than usual because it took a while to pull together. It’s been a while since my ‘happily retired’ self has thought much about such things ;--)

Hugs and blessings,

#3 hits close to home. I used to understand that business about circles and circumfrences, but not well enough to teach it.

this is awesome...and doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of what we do!

My mother is in the hospital this evening, so I admit that as I read this, I got a little misty. I'm 50 and she's 70, but she's still my mommy. Happy Mother's Day to her … and to you … and to moms everywhere. (Thanks for visiting my TT)
