13 places to meet men

1. The Local Pub - This may be one of the oldest ways to meet a man, but it still works. Free flowing beer makes it easier to approach your target!

2. The Store - Whether it’s the shopping mall or the supermarket these places are loaded with single people. A bookstore is also very trendy and new age.

3. Online - Either putting a personal on line or answering one. It really works.

4. Church - Ive heard this but never experienced it.

5. Work - If you can get past the gossip, the office is a place where romance can be sparked. Although, I wouldn’t recommend it. If something goes wrong, you still need your job.

6. Newspapers - They have personal ads in the Newspaper just like online. You can also look for social gatherings for singles groups too.

7. College - If you’re taking some classes at the local college this could be an opportunity to meet eligible men

8. Friends - Get your friends to help if you’re serious about finding a man. Attend parties where there is a good mix of singles.

9. The Gym -While you exercise your muscles you can exercise your flirty abilities.

10. Restaurants – Check out the guy in the coroner eating by himself…what do you have to lose?

11. Your Neighborhood – Although, just like work, if it doesn’t work out, you still have to live there.

12. The Beach – Most men wont approach a woman if she is surrounded by friends. Don’t be afraid to make the first move.

13. Starbucks – And you can meet them at all hours. Single men hang out there with their laptops sipping latte’s.

I met my husband at work. He left when we became serious so we could stay that way! It all worked out, if you'll pardon the pun.

I met my first ex-husband in a camera store, then we met up in a bar later that week.

My second ex I met at work. Most of the guys I've dated have been from work.

Course I'm too old to meet anyone now LOL!

I met lots at the ice rink, way back when in grad school. Didn't date any of them, though...

Gosh, you know men follow me around - especially when I'm wearing my diamond ring. Now that's just weird. Grocery stores, Costco - that's two biggies. But the gym too.

I met my husband at work. I really believe when you're ready the right person shows up.

Happy TT!

Also great advice! :-)

I never believed a lasting relationship could be formed at a bar, but thats where I met my partner 3 years ago. So we can all be proved wrong. ;-)

Funny, but a lot of men can meet a lot of women at those places, too ;-)

Great list. I actually met my husband 12 years ago in a restaurant. My sister bought him a beer and the rest is history. Happy TT and thanks for visiting.

My husband and I met in college.

Do people still use personals? I would have thought they'd all moved over to the internet by now.

Oh yes... number 4 is true. But it was an awful experience... TWICE!

It's SO much easier meeting someone when you're still in college. Lots of people, all at a similar level, and lots more free time, too.

I met my husband in the army, while we were both in training. Same sort of thing.

I do have to vouch for the efficacy of online dating--two friends have both found good relationships with someone they met online--one's at 3 years and the other is 6 months, and they're happy.

I was once picked up at the laundromat. A weekend dad came over to get his little daughter, who was telling me how pretty my sheets were, and the rest is history. (OK, it didn't really go anywhere, but the pickup makes a good story.) So even though it's not sexy, it can happen! Great ideas. (If only I had the energy ...) And thanks for visiting my TT, and checking on me. :)

I play volleyball weekly, talked to an interesting fella afterwards over a beer. Turned out he had a great sense of humour. You just never know.
