13 ways to ease stress during the holiday season

1. Have lots of sex.

2. Excercise...get outside and take a walk.

3. Meditate.

4. Get a massage.

5. Watch mindless TV when you have too much going on in your head.

6. Read a book.

7. Listen to your favorite music with your eyes closed.

8. Bake cookies just because, the ones that are prepackaged...as easy as 1-2-3.

9. Call a friend and go have a drink or a coffee at your nearest Starbucks.

10. Take a long relaxing bath with your favorite bath oils. Dont forget the candles.

11. Did I say have lots of sex?

12. Drink a glass of wine.

13. Take a deep cleansing breath INNNNNNNNNN and OUUUUUUUUT.

This is great. All we need is Julie Andrews to set it to music. "… These are a few of my favorite things!" (Thanks for stopping by my TT)

Unfortunately, number 1 keeps getting pushed aside by either small children who won't sleep, or their parents' intense need TO sleep. Kind of a catch 22 at the moment, but there will be some serious regrouping to do while we're away next month.

Great list. I'm not so sure about the coffee at Starbucks tho....that's LOADED with caffeine. Wouldn't help stress at all...at least for me.

Shopping, Holidays? Egad they ARE approaching quickly.

Oh yeah, all of those sound perfect - whether it is the holiday season or not!

And did you mention sex? That's always a good stress reliever :-)

Interesting. Some of these can actually lead to #1. Like #4, #9, #10, #12, and #13. Though the last one #13, sounds more like the solo version (smile).

I've got to start working on this stuff. My doctor says that I need to learn to manage my stress (tee hee hee). Good ideas!

Fun list, and 12 hmmm...I mean 13 great ways to de-stress. Happy TT.

Darla said...

I can't argue with #1 or #11! Great stress relief. :)

Great list! I plan to do all them twice, maybe three times just to be safe. :) Except for 4, strange people touching me, even for such a wonderful endeavor, is alas, not relaxing. I'll do 1 and 11 twice in place of four each time through. *nod*

Happy TT :)

Make sure the masseuse isn't one who will just leave you feeling abused, though. A bad massage is worse than none!
