I will have to try the sugar, I am always burning my tongue!
thanks for visiting my TT
peanut butter... okay, I gotta wonder who decided to give that one a shot, lol
Thanks for tip about Nestea. At least once a summer I get a painful, painful burn ...
Peanut butter is also useful for getting chewing gum out of your hair.
Ed
Thanks for this informative TT! I can definitely see myself using hint #13
OMG I thought my always thought my Nanny was joking when she said she used beer on her hair.
How did you learn all this? Incidentally, I LOVE your sunset photos.
hahahah you mean all those beer showers I had at concerts and whatnot were actually GOOD for me? Who knew!
If Preparation H works for puffy eyes, Lori, I'll send you my firstborn child.
I've tried some of these, I have to admit!
Happy TT!
Interesting. I have used peanut butter to RUIN CDs!
good advice! thanks...
smiles, bee
I'm always burning my tongue, but I never tried sugar!
Oh wow, some great suggestions. I never heard about peanutbutter removing scratches on CD's . I'll have to check it out. Thanks!
Great list! I love using home remedies for things. I used to put mayo on my hair when I was a teen for the conditioning, but it smells SO bad! YUCK! :(
I've been rinsing my hair in beer for years. Thanks for validating that I'm not crazy :)
Thanks for stopping by mine :)
Lori those are great tips!I also write for families.com on Frugal Living and some of these very tips have been discussed. Though I will admit a few were new to me (like the WD40 and the arthritis) LOL
Anyway, I loved the list and your blog is great! Thanks for visiting me!
My daughter read in a magazine that mayonaise conditions the hair and now she wants to try it out.
I think I'll take your word on the Preparation H thing.
I will have to try some of these...
I have tried the peanut butter and coffee filter and it didn't work.
That's a very useful list.
Ed stole my thunder about the peanut butter...
I had NEVER heard about the beer for my hair. It won't hurt to try.
Great list, thank you.
I am going to try the peanut butter... It could save me tons!!! Thanks for the list!
wd-40...really?
Wow, what great tips. I'm going to have to try the sugar on a burnt tongue.
Definitely filing the sugar on burnt tongue one away for future use...
I've heard about the sugar on the tongue and about the peanut butter for CDs, but the others were new. Great list!
I prefer pineapple juice as a meat tenderiser but bee stings sound interesting
My hubby uses WD40 for a lot of things, but I didn't know this use! great tips!
Thanks for visiting my geography TT.
I used to be allergic to bees as a child, and my great aunt (a nurse) suggested that my grandma (who raised me) try the meat tenderizer. It worked like a charm!
Also, the puffy eye thing is true and the PH also works for those annoying blemishes that emerge just when you least expect it. ;)
This is a great list! Thank you for taking time to share it!
My list is "13 Things I Learned on My Recent Trip to Canada."
Happy Thursday!
You missed the best home remedy of all..
Choking on ice? Never panic! Just drink boiling water!
Really peanut butter and DVD's?
I knew the mayo one from experience and not condtioning my hair.... ;)
wow! that's some serious remedies I've never heard of!
Although the beer...seems almost a waste. :P
But I never would have guessed the peanut butter...is that true?
Those are all great. I printed them out. but I have to say for second when I read meat tenderizer I thought of the actual tool. And I thougt to myself, beat my bee sting with a meat tenderizer? That would make me forget the sting for sure!
Bud will also condition the body... :)
Thanks for the read Mitch
I remember way back when, we used to use flat beer as a rinse to give body and shine to our hair. You can also use a lemon juice rinse to add natural blonde highlights and shine to your hair plus it will get a kitten to stop chewing on your hair.
Happy TT!
Unbelievable I am laughing...you know what some of these remind me of? The father in the movie MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING...
You've got some great ideas here and they sound so radical...wd 40 seriouslY???
Never heard of these remedies. But they sound interesting! Perhaps I'll try some of them ;-)
Interesting list. I knew of some of these but not the others. Great list happy TT!!
